These are estimated processing times only and may change without notice. Orders may take longer during holidays, sales, or busy seasons. Large orders may be subject to delays.
Estimated Delivery Times
- Western States / Near Utah: 3–5 business days
- East Coast: 5–7 business days
- Alaska & Puerto Rico: Shipping times will take longer
We work to ship orders as quickly as possible. Most orders ship sooner than the estimated processing time, but some orders may take several weeks, especially:
- FFL transfers
- DIY Kits
Free shipping orders are usually shipped using USPS Ground Advantage.
Shipping Information
- Orders ship Monday–Friday, excluding postal holidays.
- Shipping times depend on the order date.
- Some orders may ship in multiple packages to speed up delivery.
Order Changes & Combined Orders
- Items cannot be added after an order is placed.
- Orders cannot be combined.
- If you want items shipped separately, place separate orders.

Important Information About Serialized (FFL) Orders
Processing for serialized items does not begin until we receive a valid copy of the receiving FFL.
If there is an issue with the FFL selected during checkout, our FFL team will contact you by email to help resolve it.
If your serialized order has not shipped, please have your FFL email a copy of their license to:
FFL@davidsondefense.com
Include your order number in the subject line.
By law, we cannot ship serialized items without this information.
Assembled Build Kits
Assembled Full Build Kits will NOT include the following parts assembled:
- Lower Parts Kit (LPK)
- Buffer Tube Kit
- Bolt Carrier Group (BCG)
- Charging Handle
This is because the kit does not include a lower receiver.
Assembled Uppers
All assembled uppers are built to order.
Test Firing
Some assembled uppers are test fired once per week, which may add extra processing time.
During testing:
- 3 rounds are fired through each upper to check functionality.
- If needed, repairs and re-testing will be completed before shipment.
Please note: some firearm parts may require a short break-in period for best performance.
Free Shipping Information
Free shipping promotions may only apply to certain U.S. States.
Additional shipping charges may apply for orders shipped to:
- Hawaii
- Alaska
- Puerto Rico
- Other U.S. Territories
- We do NOT ship International
Some sale or blowout items may not qualify for free shipping, even if your order total normally would.
Shipping insurance, sales tax, and gift card purchases do not count toward free shipping eligibility.

- USPS - Ground Advantage, Priority, Express 2-Day and Flat Rate
- FedEx - Ground Economy, Standard Overnight and FedEx 2-Day
- Will Call Local Utah Pickup (FFL items : Utah Residents Only)

Package Protection
Because carriers are no longer offering delivery guarantees without shipping package protection, it is highly recommended that you purchase package protection from us with your order. If you choose to forego our package protection the risk of loss passes to you.
Missing Packages/Risk of Loss
If you do not choose Package Protection at checkout you accept responsibility for lost, stolen, damaged or misdelivered packages. We will provide any information necessary for the claim, but we will not file the claim for you. Compensation can only be requested from the carrier.
For claims on orders with Package Protection, claims must be reported within 5 days of the scheduled delivery date. A Help Request sent to our help center during non-business hours is acceptable. Please allow us time to confirm with the carrier to try and find the package. When confirmed as lost, we will replace the items, if no replacement is available we will contact you about compensation. The claims process typically takes up to two weeks to complete.
The following are covered by package protection.
- Lost in Transit
- Damaged/Missing Items
- Misdelivered
Please note that filing a chargeback, missing mail search, or submitting a carrier claim on your own will void Package Protection. These actions make you ineligible for compensation or replacement. The claims process must be handled directly by us.
We do not cover stolen packages. Package Protection covers the package from our door to your door. Once the package is marked as delivered to the provided address it is no longer covered by Package Protection.
* If a shipment is refused without cancelling it first, a 25% restocking fee and our shipping costs will not be refunded back to the customer.
* If you need to cancel a build or custom product and it has already been assembled you will not be refunded the build fee.
* If for any reason an order needs to be cancelled and we cannot get a hold of the customer, we will issue store credit only

Claims Policy

Risk of Loss:
All items purchased from our company are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier. As such, if an order is lost in shipping, damaged, or is addressed wrong, it becomes a liability to you if shipping package protection was not purchased from us.

On Sale Item Policy:
- Items purchased that later go on sale during the processing time, prior to the original items shipping, are subject to a price difference adjustment in store credit only. Items that go on sale and have been shipped prior to the start sale date are not eligible for price adjustment.
